College Rules, Conduct and Discipline

All students are expected to maintain satisfactory conduct at all times within the campus. Students must wear clean, simple, and appropriate attire. Punctuality and regular attendance in classes are mandatory, and students should perform their academic responsibilities with dedication. Entering or leaving the classroom during a session without permission is strictly prohibited.

Any damage caused to college property will be taken seriously, and the cost of repair or replacement will be recovered from the concerned student(s). Students are expected to treat all college facilities—including buildings, furniture, equipment, electrical fittings, and library resources—with care and responsibility. Tampering with electrical installations is dangerous and will invite strict disciplinary action.

Students should regularly check notices displayed on the notice board for important updates. Misbehavior, malpractice, or organizing meetings without prior written permission from the Principal is strictly forbidden.

Prohibition of Ragging

Students are encouraged to maintain a respectful and friendly environment on campus. Ragging, in any form, is strictly prohibited both within and outside the campus.

As per the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1997 (Act No. 7 of 1997), ragging includes any act that causes physical or psychological harm, fear, embarrassment, or distress to another student. This includes teasing, abuse, practical jokes, or forcing a student to perform acts against their will. Any individual found guilty of ragging, whether directly or indirectly involved, shall be punished with imprisonment up to two years and/or a fine.

A student convicted under this Act will be dismissed from the institution and will not be eligible for admission in any other educational institution. Complaints of ragging will be investigated immediately, and if found valid, the accused student will be suspended. The decision of the Head of the Institution in such matters shall be final.

  • Girls: Churidar with dupatta or saree, along with black or brown shoes. An overcoat is mandatory during workshop sessions.
  • Boys: Full trousers and formal shirts with simple designs, along with black or brown shoes.

Attendance is calculated on an hourly basis, considering each lecture period. Participation in examinations, tests, assignments, and classes is mandatory. Students who fail to meet the required attendance criteria will not be permitted to appear for end-semester examinations or progress to the next semester.

Students must wear their identity card at all times inside the campus.
